Skiing without limits
Outstanding skiing (virtually without limits) is guaranteed in the Hohe Salve area. It offers access to SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser Brixental, Austria’s largest lift-linked and award-winning ski area, which boasts a reliable snow cover and offers 280 kilometers of slopes groomed to perfection as well as three terrain parks. There is plenty of skiable terrain for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and ambitions, from novices to pros. Many mountain restaurants and pubs tempt winter sports enthusiasts to drop in for a meal or refreshments.
In addition, the Hohe Salve area is home to several winter and snow-related attractions. Hochbrixen’s Alpine Igloo Village, for instance, introduces visitors to the magic world of ice and snow – an experience not to be missed! Or why not have a drink at the ice bar? With more than 60 kilometers of cross-country skiing trails the Hohe Salve area, and charming Angerberg in particular, is a paradise for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. Off-piste activities further include sledging, back-country skiing, snowshoe walking and dog sledding.
